Development Of Water And Sewer Map Conversion System and the Conversion of Water and Sewer maps for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (Wssc), Maryland.

Project involved a complete review of manual mapping procedures, development of methodology for conversion of the hard copy maps to digital format, development of a specifications document outlining standard for every intermediate and final product, development of a comprehensive suite of application used for in-house conversion of over 1900 200’ Water and Sewer maps, development of a procedures manual covering every aspect of the conversion process and finally development of resources requirements covering every aspect of the conversion project, from required rolls of mylar to the qualification of the various conversion staff.

Onsite support during the conversion process, including management of contract personnel, quality control of all GIS data, development of Water and Sewer Maintenance application and support of the maintenance process. The project also involved database reconciliation between WSSC's existing IBM databases and the new GIS data.
