DEC releases RoadBLOCK to aid police with the DC Sniper investigation! The purpose of the software is to provide the police with the ability to quickly develop and implement road closure plans. On Tuesday, November 12, 2002 President George W. Bush visited the DC Police Department where RoadBLOCK software was used during the sniper investigation. View a picture of the visit.

Consulting Services News:
The US Army has awarded DEC a contract for enhancement of DEC's Conflation product Conflex for performing Army specific Feature Matching and Conflation.  The 18 Month Contract is expected to provide specific enhancements to Conflex which will enable the Army to match features from data sets of varying scales and feature types.

DEC teams up to produce Department of Transportation and Census Bureau sponsored Transportation Package. DEC has partnered with two companies, the Centech Group of Arlington, VA and the Canadian-based Beyond 20/20, to develop a transportation package for the Department of Transportation. DEC has completed its redistricting project with the Government of Bermuda. The staff in Bermuda used autoBound in order to complete their legislative redistricting plan. DEC provided the software, as well as technical support, while the plan was developed and reviewed. The Government of Bermuda was extremely satisfied with their end product.
