Insight - Voting and Census Data Knowledge System

Insight is a Map based system for creation,storage and management of Census PL, SF1, SF3, historical election results, registration and other demographic data. Insight also provides an easy to use map viewer for display, analysis and map creation at any geographic level.

The key benefit to using Insight is the software’s ability to provide data from dissimilar sources on the same geographic level. With Insight, users can take SF1 or SF3 data such as Income level which is available at Census Tract level and readily cross compare it with voter turnout which is only available at Precinct and County levels.

The same type of analysis can be used to determine the impact of a proposed legislation on a particular geographic region. As an example, the effects of a proposed gas tax can be measured against the total population and the number of individuals commuting more than 1 hour in a legislative district.

This type of analysis is critical in providing support to key legislative issues such as funding and support of HAVA, various legislation for Homeland Security, funding for transportation as well a variety of social and health related
issues.
