E-MAPS
Map NavigationE-MAPS provides the user with a comprehensive set of tools for navigation
and display of various map layers, including:
- Zoom All - displays the full extent of the map
- Zoom in - Allows the user magnify the map area by drawing a
box
- Zoom out - provides a less detailed view of the map
- Pan - Allows the user to view a different area of the map
- Zoom Previous - Allows the user to go back up to 10 previous
views
- Zoom in 10%/Zoom out 10% - Provides a plus or minus 10%
magnification
Users can also navigate to a location by entering an address
or a street intersection. A spell check is automatically performed in cases where
addresses are misspelled.
As users zoom into an area, E-MAPS provides an increasing
level of details. For example, at full extent, the software will only display major
roads such as Interstates and state routes. As the user zooms in, the software will
begin to display the local roads and at sufficient magnification, the street name labels.
The same multi-step display process applies to all level of data displayed in
E-MAPS. If desired, the user can modify or simply disable this capability.
