E-MAPS
Dynamic Internet Map Server (Preview)
Digital Engineering Corporation is in the process of releasing E-MAPS Web Service. E-MAPS web Service provides users of E-MAPS with the ability to share event information with anyone connected to the Internet or an internal Intranet. The most significant advantage of the web service is its JAVA based dynamic display capability.
Please be advised that the work on this sever is ongoing with a target commercial release date in the Fall of 2004. In the meanwhile, please feel free to tryout the server and provide us with comments.
The preview database is for the city of Dallas, Texas. To try out the server:
- Click the link below
- Once the Map appears, move the mouse into the map and using the left mouse button drag a zoom box.
- Alternatively, use the + button in the menu.
- To search for locations and/or streets, click the options button. The click the Magnifiying lens.
- Next enter a text string in the text box on the right.
- Click the Search button to locate matchs.
- Click the Match to zoom into its location.
